Terms & Conditions


The NRGCelebrates Program (the “Program”) is a service of NRG Energy, Inc. (“NRG”). This Program is provided for all eligible employees of NRG (as defined below). All users of this web site agree that their access to and use of this web site is subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein and all applicable laws. Any access is undertaken at the user's own risk. These terms and conditions may change without prior notice. 


Eligibility for the Program is limited to current full-time and part-time NRG employees on the employee payroll of NRG or a subsidiary company. Individuals classified or treated by NRG as contingent workers, consultants, independent contractors, agency employees or who otherwise are not on the employee payroll of NRG are not eligible.

Code of Conduct

You ae expected and required to exercise good judgement in conformity with the company’s Code of Conduct and other policies while using or accessing NRGCelebrates. Posting anything obscene, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, defamatory, illegal, or in violation of company policy is prohibited and may result in discipline up to and including termination of employment.

Termination of Employee

Employees who separate (voluntarily or involuntarily) from employment   will have access to their account for 30 days. If contacted within 30 days of termination, NRG may, in its sole discretion, coordinate redemption of an Amazon eGift card of a value equivalent to the eligible point balance. Any remaining points after 30 days will be forfeited, and the account will be locked.

Changes and Disputes

NRG reserves the right, without prior notice, to discontinue or change the Program at any time. 

NRG reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. 

All questions or disputes regarding eligibility for this Program, the eligibility of rewards, the availability of rewards or points, the terms and conditions of the Program will be resolved by NRG at its sole discretion.  

Participant Enrollment

Each eligible employee will be automatically enrolled in the Program.

Redemption and Deduction of Points

Any points not redeemed within 30 days from separation of employment will be forfeited.

Points may only be used to redeem merchandise from the Program’s online catalog located at NRGCelebrates.com. Points are not redeemable for cash.

Accrued points do not constitute the property of any individual or participant. Points are not transferable to another participant. Points have no monetary value except to the extent specifically provided for by a reward.

Claiming a Reward

NRG reserves the right to modify the merchandise available in the Program’s online catalog at any time and without notice.

Points may only be redeemed for item(s) described in the online catalog.

Specific merchandise is subject to availability and substitutions may be made based on availability or market conditions.

Statements of Points Earned

This web site provides eligible participants with detail of transactions, as well as point balances

Termination of Program

NRG reserves the right to terminate the Program at any time without any prior notice. If the Program is suspended or terminated, any unredeemed points must be redeemed within 30 days of the date of termination.  

Participant Program Tracking

It is the responsibility of each eligible participant to use their awarded points to redeem items from the online catalog. Awarded points can only be redeemed for merchandise presented in the online catalog.

Promotional Events

From time to time, NRG, at its sole discretion, may sponsor events intended to promote participation in the Program. These events may be terminated at any time, without cause or notice.


Merchandise redeemed under the Program may be subject to applicable federal (U.S. and Canada), provincial (Canada), state and/or local taxes (U.S.). Payment of taxes resulting from these awards is the sole responsibility of the participating employee and not NRG or any of its affiliates or agents. NRG may report earnings under this Program in accordance with federal (U.S. and Canada), provincial (Canada) state and/or local taxes (U.S.).   

Shipping and Handling

Merchandise redeemed under the Program is subject to shipping and handling charges. The shipping and handling charges are included in the point value associated with each item in the online catalog and are represented in the overall value of the item.  

Privacy Notice

This web site is owned, maintained and operated by WorkProud on behalf of NRG. The information collected on this web site by Work Proud will be shared with NRG in connection with the Program. WorkProud will not share or use your information for any other purposes without first obtaining your approval to do so.
